The main venue of the conferences will be De Doelen; in the city center, within walking distance of Rotterdams central train station and many hotels. De Doelen is one of the most popular centers for music concerts in The Netherlands and welcomes many thousands of visitors for congresses and other events every year. De Doelen is a professional conference center, but has a down to earth feel to it. Scouts and Guides will feel easily at home there.

ROOMS

De Doelen comprises three groups of halls or complexes. Each complex has its own entrance, hall, foyer, and a number of smaller meeting spaces. For the joint conference the Willem Burger Hall will be used, which seats 700 people. An additional conference hall for 300 people is available in the same complex for the scout or the guide conference. The offices and meeting rooms for the committees and bureaus are all in the same complex. Free wifi is available in all rooms.

SUSTAINABILITY

De Doelen is taking responsibility for his impact on society. They are constantly working on reducing the environmental impact as a result of their business activities. With the renovation of its concert hall for example many energy-saving facilities were installed. But awareness of the environment is a continuous process and includes the entire business; from waste separation to office paper. De Doelen takes its social responsibility seriously when it comes to the environment. Since October2010 de Doelen is the proud owner of the Golden Green Key certificate.
